Amendments to the Offshore Electricity Infrastructure regulatory framework reduce fees and levies
The Australian Government has significantly reduced fees and regulatory levies under the Offshore Electricity Infrastructure framework, cutting the commercial feasibility licence application fee from $300,000 to $50,000 and lowering a range of annual levies for offshore renewable energy projects.
The amendments also introduce more flexible financial security arrangements.
The regulations can be found here.
We have updated our Financial Security Guideline to reflect the changes.
You can read the guideline here.
