New guidance to support work health and safety training providers
The Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR) has developed new guidance to support training providers who wish to be approved by the OIR to offer health and safety representatives (HSR) or entry permit holder training under the Offshore Electricity Infrastructure Act framework.
The HSR training guideline sets out application requirements, key training principles and criteria for approval to provide HSR training that will be considered by the OIR during its assessment process.
The entry permit holder training guideline sets out expectations for delivery of training as well as the OIR's approach to training approval.
These guidelines also outline administrative processes for lodging applications.
The OIR encourages providers who are interested in offering HSR or entry permit holder training to meet with the OIR as training is developed and prior to lodging an application.
